Stay Home, Stay Safe, and DIY!

We’re encouraging all our Yalla Night Lifers to limit the purchase of protective items, as they should be preserved to be used to treat patients. That’s why we looked up some DIYs for you to make at home during quarantine!

We’ve been all strongly practicing the forced art of social distancing and it hasn’t been that much fun for anyone. But, hey, at least by staying home we’re also staying safe and protecting our elderly from the fast-spreading disease! The problem is that there has been a national deficit with necessary items such as hand sanitizer, 70% Ethanol, gloves, and face masks. Those items should be stocked away to be made available for use when treating patients with severe cases of COVID-19. This is why we’ve decided to enlighten you with some DIY alternatives that will help protect you and your family against the Coronavirus. Stay home and try these out!

Homemade Hand Sanitizer

Most pharmacies have been rapidly running out of most kinds of hand sanitizers due to the heavy consumption of panic buyers. This has caused businesses to double, even triple, the standard prices of those sought after items. Luckily, we did some research for you so you would be able to make your own hand sanitizer at home. All you need is rubbing alcohol (99% Isopropyl alcohol), aloe vera gel, tea tree oil. Combine those ingredients in moderate amounts in a bowl, mix them well by shaking the container you put them into, and voila! You’ve got yourself some homemade sanitizer. Just bear in mind that this mixture might be even better than regular hand sanitizer, as aloe vera gel is a natural moisturizer that will protect your hands from drying out.

Homemade Antiviral Sanitizing Spray

Good news! You could substitute spraying 70% Ethanol with spraying Fa body splash; it has that 70% alcohol needed to kill Coronavirus! However, this could cause severe cases of dry skin, we know some people hysterically apply the product in panic and fear of the virus. We advise you to use some Panthenol or Bepanthene, they’re just the best moisturizing products you could use from treating dryness - even tattoo artists recommend them for taking good care of fresh ink! Instead of all that hassle, you could try out this great recipe and make your own antiviral spray at home. What you need is rubbing alcohol (99% Isopropyl alcohol), Glycerol/Glycerin, Hydrogen Peroxide, and some distilled water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and you’re good to go!

On a side note, we recommend that you power up on some good old Vitamin C, it will do wonders for your immune system. Try to limit ordering food, it’s better to make your own at home, eat more food that could help boost your immune system. We hope this passes soon and we could get back to our everyday lives. Stay safe, everyone!
